Assigning a machine to an inspection version

Select Configuration > Quality > Inspections. The Inspections screen is displayed.

Select a record and click Machines. The Machines screen is displayed at the bottom.

Select a record and click Assign. The Assign window is displayed.

Specify this information:

Gauge Configuration Server: The server responsible for executing data entry scripts and communicating with distributed Realtime IO Servers. The server is normally hosted on the same machine as the web server.
Realtime IO Server: The IO server installed on the data collection workstation to manage input from external devices, such as gauges or sensors.
Override Collection Details?: If this check box is selected, the application overrides the collection details defined in the inspection version. This is used when the data collection frequency differs from the default settings.

Note: The above settings are not mandatory, however, can be used to specify the servers and devices to use when performing the inspection on the machine.

Click OK.
