Machine Types

Machines of the same type can typically perform the same manufacturing operations, have the same downtime and scrap reasons and count the same production counters.

To view and configure machine types, navigate to Configuration > Assets > Machine Types.

You can use these options on the Machine Types screen:

• Add: Allows you to create a new machine type.
• Edit: Allows you to modify the existing machine types.
• Delete: Allows you to delete the existing machine types.
• Retire: Allows you to retire the existing machine types. You cannot assign machine to retired machine types. Retired machine types can be excluded from reports unless included in the report’s filter options.
• Machines: Allows you to view machines within the machine types.
• Reasons: Allows you to view the machine stop reasons used as the default machine stop reasons for the machine types.
• Assistance Types: Allows you to view the assistance types associated with the machine types.
