Locations

Locations represent physical or logical places where Inventory Packs can be stored or held within the system. These can include production areas, storage areas, quality control stations, or any other designated site relevant to inventory tracking and management.

To view and configure locations, navigate to Configuration > Inventory > Locations.

You can use these options on the Locations screen:

• Add: Allows you to create a new location.
• Edit: Allows you to modify the existing locations.
• Retire: Allows you to retire the existing locations. You cannot move inventory to retired locations and you cannot assign retired locations to machines. Retired locations can be excluded from reports unless included in the report’s filter options.
• Block: Allows you to block existing locations. Blocked locations are restricted from holding inventory.
• Unblock: Allows you to unblock existing locations. Only unblocked locations can hold inventory.
• Materials: Allows you to assign or unassign a material to a location. You can restrict the materials that a location is allowed to hold. All materials are allowed to be held within a location if no materials are assigned to the location.
