Bill of Material Items

BOM Items represent the individual component materials within a BOM Variant. A BOM Variant can have multiple BOM items for the same material.

To view and configure BOM items, navigate to Configuration > Materials > Material Types > Materials > BOM Variants > BOM Items.

You can use these options on the Bill of Materials screen:

• Add: Allows you to create a new BOM item.
• Edit: Allows you to modify the existing BOM items.
• Delete: Allows you to delete the existing BOM items.
• Retire: Allows you to retire the existing BOM items. You cannot use retired BOM items on new production orders.
• Alternatives: Allows you to view and configure alternative BOM items.
