Units

Units, also known as units of measure, define how quantities for materials, inventory packs, and production orders are measured. Some units are predefined as standard within the system. Quantities can be converted from one unit to another using unit conversions. Units are essential to manage quantities for production counts, scrap counts, rework counts, energy readings, and more.

To view and configure units, navigate to Configuration > Materials > Units.

You can use these options on the Units screen:

• Add: Allows you to create a new unit.
• Edit: Allows you to modify the existing units.
• Delete: Allows you to delete the existing units.
• Retire: Allows you to retire the existing units. Retired units cannot be used on new materials, BOM items, etc. Retired units can be excluded from reports unless included in the report’s filter options.
• Unit Conversions: Allows you configure conversion between units.
