Asset State Reasons

Asset State Reasons define the specific reasons for transitions between asset states. These reasons provide context for each state change, supporting traceability, reporting, and analysis of asset behavior throughout the lifecycle of the asset.

To view and configure an asset state reason, navigate to Configuration > Assets > Asset State Reasons.

You can use these options on the Asset State Reasons screen:

• Add: Allows you to create a new asset state reason.
• Edit: Allows you to modify the existing asset state reasons.
• Delete: Allows you to delete the existing asset state reasons.
• Retire: Allows you to retire the existing asset state reasons. You cannot use retired asset state reasons in production.
• Sets: Allows you to view and configure the asset state reason sets for the asset state reasons.
• States: Allows you to view and configure the assets states that use the asset state reasons.
