Asset Materials

Asset Materials are used to define the Materials associated with an Asset.

To view and configure asset materials, navigate to Configuration > Maintenance > Asset Material Types. Select an asset material type record and click on Materials.

You can use these options on the Asset Materials screen:

• Add: Allows you to create a new asset material. The configuration of Asset Materials follows the same logic and settings as standard Materials. See, Materials.
• Edit: Allows you to modify the existing asset materials.
• Delete: Allows you to delete the existing asset materials.
• Retire: Allows you to retire the existing asset materials. You cannot use retired asset materials in production.
