You can specify this information:

Number of Heads for Defects
The number of heads associated with the process against which samples are verified for defects on each head.
Target Sample Size
The number of samples the operator must assess during inspection.
Attribute Study Type
The attribute study type for the inspection. See, Attribute study type. Possible values:
  • NP: The number of defective parts. The fixed sample size equals the non-conforming parts chart.
  • P: The number of defective parts in percentage. The variable sample size equals the percentage of defective parts chart.
  • C: The number of defects. The fixed sample size equals the count of defects chart.
  • U: The number of defects. The variable sample size equals the defects per unit chart.
  • Check-List: The checklist format.
Record each sample (optionally with defect tags)
If this check box is selected, the application records each sample individually. This is required for explicit step checks.
Explicitly step through heads/samples
The method by which attributes are collected during the inspection. Operators must confirm each attribute one at a time. Possible values:
  • No: Operators can specify attribute information in any order.
  • Heads: Operator must step through each head.
  • Heads and Samples: Operator must step through each head and sample.
Boolean Choice
The Boolean choice to be made by the operator. Possible values:
  • Pass/Fail
  • Go/No-Go
  • Checked/Unchecked
  • True/False
  • Done/Not Done
  • As Expected/Not As Expected
Default Pass/Fail To

  • Fail: The attributes are defaulted to the failed status.
  • Pass: The attributes are defaulted to the passed status.
Hide Attribute data entry form
If this check box is selected, the application hides the attributes entry form. You must specify all data through the spreadsheet.
Attribute Spreadsheet Layout
The manner in which the attribute data is displayed on the data entry page. Possible values:
  • Pre-populated attribute list with failure count and proportion for non-Enhanced checks.
  • Pre-populated attribute list with attribute class, failure count and proportion for non-Enhanced checks.
  • Pre-populated attribute list with per-head column and failure count for non-Enhanced checks.
  • Pre-populated attribute list with attribute class, per-head column and failure count for non-Enhanced checks.
  • Initially blank grid, built as defects collected to show failure count and proportion for non-Enhanced checks.
  • Initially blank grid, built as defects collected to show attribute class, failure count and proportion for non-Enhanced checks.
  • Pre-populated attribute list showing Attribute, Head and Count, possibly showing and/or sub-divided by Product Type and Attribute Group for non-Enhanced checks.
General Attribute Instructions
The general instructions for examining attributes and defects.
