Tool Management Configuration

The chapter provides information on the configuration of master data related to the tooling functionality. This configuration is supported by the settings defined in the core model. The maintenance functionality is often used alongside the tooling functionality. However, the maintenance settings are not necessary to make use of the tooling functionality.

Some of the settings within this chapter are only relevant to Bodymaker tooling, which is specifically for can making factories. If you are not configuring tooling for can making processes, do not use the Bodymaker related settings. If you are configuring tooling for can making processes, make sure you are familiar with the Bodymaker and Toolpack concepts. See, Tool Management Overview.
