Control Limits
Control Limits are statistical boundaries used in SPC charts to define the acceptable range of variation in a process. These limits serve as thresholds that help distinguish between normal process variation and signals of potential process instability. Quality alarms are automatically raised when out-of-control violations detected.

The Control Limits screen can display the current Control Limits, any possible Control Limits that can be configured, and historical Control Limits, depending on the report’s filtering options.
You can use these options on the Control Limits screen:
- Edit: Allows you to manage and modify the control limits.
- Retire: Allows you to retire the existing control limits. You cannot use retired control limits in production.
- : Allows you to view the details of control limits without modifying data.
- : Allows you to view the history of existing control limits.
