Root Cause Types

Root Cause Types are user-defined classifications that group and label the primary causes of problems identified during concern resolution.

To view and configure root cause types, navigate to Configuration > Concerns > Root Cause Types.

You can use these options on the Root Cause Types screen:

  • Add: Allows you to create a new root cause type.
  • Edit: Allows you to modify the existing root cause types.
  • Retire: Allows you to retire the existing root cause types. You cannot use retired root cause types in production.
