Tool Cavities

Tool cavities are individual sections within a multi-cavity tool. For example, a cavity in an injection molding tool. Each cavity produces a part during a machine cycle.

To view and configure tool cavities, navigate to Configuration > Assets > Tool Types > Tools > Tool Cavities.

You can use these options on the Tool Cavities screen:

• Add: Allows you to create a new tool cavity.
• Add Multi: Allows you to create multiple new tool cavities.
• Edit: Allows you to modify the existing tool cavities.
• Delete: Allows you to delete the existing tool cavities.
• Retire: Allows you to retire the existing tool cavities. You cannot use retired tool cavities in production.
• Manage Cavity: Allows you to manage the state of the cavities.
