Root Causes

Root Causes are used to identify and describe the underlying reasons for problems or issues. Detailed documentation of root causes plays a critical role in ensuring the success of corrective and preventive measures.

To view and configure root causes, navigate to Configuration > Concerns > Root Causes.

You can use these options on the Root Causes screen:

  • Add: Allows you to create a new root cause.
  • Edit: Allows you to modify the existing root causes.
  • Retire: Allows you to retire the existing root causes. You cannot use retired root causes in production.
