Asset State Workflows

Asset State Workflows define the permitted transitions between different Asset States. These workflows control how an asset changes from one status to another, ensuring that changes follow predefined rules and processes. By configuring state workflows, organizations can enforce consistency, support maintenance procedures, and enable automated tracking of asset lifecycle events.

To view and configure asset state workflows, navigate to Configuration > Assets > Asset State Workflow.

You can use these options on the Asset State Workflow screen:

  • Add: Allows you to create a new asset state workflow.
  • Edit: Allows you to modify the existing asset state workflows.
  • Delete: Allows you to delete the existing asset state workflows.
  • Retire: Allows you to retire the existing asset state workflows. You cannot use retired asset state workflows in production.
  • Mappings: Allows you to view and configure the transitions between asset states.
