Adding a specification

  1. Select Configuration > Quality > Specification Sets. The Specification Sets screen is displayed.
  2. Select a record and click Specifications. The Specifications screen is displayed at the bottom.
  3. Click Add. The Add screen is displayed.
  4. Specify this information on the Specification tab:
    Specification
    The name of the specification.
    Description
    The description of the specification.
    Material
    The material that the specification applies to. Specifications are usually linked to materials through material properties. However, this field allows you to link a specification to a specific material.
    Machine
    The name of the machine associated with the specification. This option is used when the specification is for a specific machine. If this field is not specified, the specification can apply to any machine.
    Customer Group
    The customer group that is associated with the specification.
    Customer
    The customer that is associated with the specification.
    Plant
    The plant associated with the specification.
    Operation Inspection Code
    The operation inspection code associated with the specification.
  5. Specify this information on the Properties tab:
    Properties
    The material property values that define the materials for which the specification is valid for. The Properties tab is displayed only if you select a Specification Set that has properties enabled.
  6. Click OK.
