Material Types

Each material belongs to a specific material type that vary by the same material properties. These can be subject to the same quality checks.

To view and configure material types, navigate to Configuration > Materials > Material Types.

You can use these options on the Material Types screen:

• Add: Allows you to create a new material type.
• Edit: Allows you to modify the existing material types.
• Delete: Allows you to delete the existing material types.
• Retire: Allows you to retire the existing material types. Retired material types can be excluded from reports unless included in the report’s filter options.
• Materials: Allows you to view and configure materials within the material types.
• Inventory States: Allows you to view the inventory states associated with the material types.
• Change State Groups: Allows you to view the change state groups associated with the material types.
