Inspections
Inspections represents a defined quality check used to collect measurement and attribute data. These inspections are essential for ensuring that products meet specified standards and for identifying deviations that require corrective actions. An inspection version is only available in the production environment after release. This means, you can revise and modify an inspection as required, without affecting production. Once an inspection version is released, revise the inspection version again to allow further modifications.

You can use these options on the Inspections screen:
- Add: Allows you to create a new inspection.
- Edit: Allows you to modify the existing inspections.
- : Allows you to copy an existing inspection to create a new inspection.
- : Allows you to create a new inspection version for an existing inspection.
- : Allows you to modify the existing inspection versions. A released inspection version must be revised before it can be modified.
- : Allows you to copy an existing inspection version to create a new inspection version.
- Release Version: Allows you to approve and release the existing inspections for use in production.
- : Allows you to revise existing and currently released inspection version in order to make modifications.
- Retire Version: Allows you to retire the existing inspection versions. You cannot use retired inspections in production.
- : Allows you to assign and unassign variables to inspection versions.
- : Allows you to assign and unassign variables to inspection versions.
- : Allows you to assign and unassign machines to inspection versions.
- : Allows you to test the inspection version in a production-like environment without having to release the inspection version.
