Adding a maintenance procedure

  1. Select Configuration > Maintenance > Maintenance Procedures. The Maintenance Procedures screen is displayed.
  2. Click Add. The Add window is displayed.
  3. Specify this information related to the maintenance procedure on the Maintenance Procedure tab:
    Procedure
    The name of the procedure.
    Work Type
    The type of maintenance work activity performed by the procedure. See, Maintenance work types.
    Code
    The code of the procedure.
    Responsible Department
    The department responsible for performing the procedure.
    Responsible Group
    The personnel group responsible for performing the procedure.
    Cost Centre
    The cost center associated with the procedure for financial planning and analysis.
    Planned Duration
    The expected time to complete the procedure.
    Advance Warning Period
    The timeframe prior to the maintenance date when the planner can view and prepare for upcoming work related to the procedure. This value must be specified if the Is Compliance Monitored check box is selected.
    Maintenance Scheduling Window
    The grace period after the planned maintenance date before the work is classified as overdue. This value must be specified if the Is Compliance Monitored check box is selected.
    Auto Authorise
    If this check box is selected, the procedure is automatically authorized when scheduled. If this check box is cleared, the procedure must be authorized manually. Maintenance engineers can only execute authorized work.
    Is Compliance Monitored
    If this check box is selected, the procedure must be measured for compliance.
    Planned Machine Downtime
    The planned period for which the machine is stopped to carry out the procedure.
    Planned Line Downtime
    The planned period for which the line is stopped to carry out the procedure.
    Root Asset
    The root asset for the procedure, allowing assignment of sub-maintenance procedures within the hierarchical structure of sub assets.
  4. Specify this information on the Schedule tab:
    Trigger Type
    The type of trigger use to trigger the maintenance work. Possible values:
    • Period: Schedule the procedure to occur on a periodic basis. A period type as well as frequencies need to be supplied.
    • Count: Trigger the procedure based on the usage of an Asset, taken from the Asset Counters. Frequencies need to be supplied.
  5. Click OK.
