Inventory States

Inventory States are user-defined classifications that represent the status of Inventory Packs in the system. The application provides a standard set of preconfigured inventory states, which can be modified based on specific requirements. You can also create inventory states to align with custom workflows or business rules.

To view and configure inventory states, navigate to Configuration > Inventory > Inventory States.

You can use these options on the Inventory States screen:

  • Add: Allows you to create a new inventory state.
  • Edit: Allows you to modify the existing inventory states.
  • Retire: Allows you to retire the existing inventory states. You cannot use retired inventory states in production.
  • Reasons: Allows you to assign or unassign inventory change state reasons to Inventory States. You cannot change the state of an inventory pack to a retired inventory state.
