Additional settings for devices
When assigning a Variable with a Source set to Device, you must specify this information:
- Gauge Type

The type of measuring device. Possible values:
- Gauge With Properties
- Generic
- Weigh Scale
- Gauge Configuration
- The device used to collect the measure data. This list is controlled by Infor and therefore require Infor’s assistance.
- Gauge Connection

The arguments to be sent to a measuring device to acquire data. Refer to the device definition for precise information. Use a comma separated list to define the port name, buffer flushing, and channel reference. For example:
- “COM4” specifies that the device must use port COM4.
- “COM4,1” specifies that the device must use COM4 and the read buffer.
- “COM4, 1,2” specifies that the device must use COM4, flush the read buffer, and use channel 2.
- Manual Intervention

Whether any manual intervention is required to trigger or accept values from the device. Possible values:
- None: No intervention is required.
- Manually Trigger Each Request: The user is required to trigger each request.
- Manually Confirm Streamed Data: The user is required to confirm the received data.
