Inventory Positions

Inventory Positions are designated points on a machine where Inventory Packs are consumed (input positions) or created (output positions). These positions are critical for tracking material flow during production processes.

For each created Machine, an input position and an output position is created automatically.

You can define two positions with the same name and position on a single machine, if one is an input and the other is an output.

To view and configure inventory positions, navigate to Configuration > Assets > Machines > Inventory Positions.

You can use these options on the Inventory Positions screen:

• Add: Allows you to create a new inventory position.
• Edit: Allows you to modify the existing inventory positions.
• Retire: Allows you to retire the existing inventory positions. You cannot create or consume inventory packs from a retired inventory position.
