Adding a production stop reason

  1. Select Configuration > Production > Production Stop Reason. The Production Stop Reasons screen is displayed.
  2. Click Add. The Add window is displayed.
  3. Specify this information:
    Stop Category
    The stop category to which the reason belongs to.
    Stop Reason
    The name of the production stop reason.
    Description
    The description of the production stop reason.
    Stop Code
    The code of the production stop reason.
    Stop Relative To Job

    The duration of a stop is measured based on the time a job has been running. Possible values:

    • No Job: A reason why no job is running.
    • Setup: A reason for a setup period.
    • Setup Overrun: A reason for when a setup period has overrun.
    • Ramp Up: A reason for a ramp up period.
    • Ramp Up Overrun: A reason for when a ramp up period has overrun.
    • Teardown: A reason for a teardown period.
    • Teardown Overrun: A reason for when a teardown period has overrun.
    Stop Type
    The type of stop. See, Stop types.
    Tick to use this reason as the default whenever job stops
    If this check box is selected, the reason is used as the default reason when a job is not in progress. This check box is displayed only if the Stop Relative To Job field is set to No Job.
    Tick to use this reason for time related to a non-working shift at the end of a working shift
    If this check box is selected, the reason is used when splitting a stop that overlaps a transition from a working to a non-working shift. This check box is used by the process that automatically splits an open "No Job" production stop when a shift ends.
    Tick to use this reason for the time related to a new shift after a non-working shift
    If this check box is selected, the reason is used when splitting a stop that overlaps a transition from a non-working to a working shift. This check box is used by the process that automatically splits an open "No Job" production stop when a shift ends.
    Assistance Type
    The type of assistance required for this stop. See, Assistance types.
    Energy Status
    The level of energy usage for the stop. See, Energy status.
    Sets
    The production stop reason set(s) to which the stop reason belongs to.
  4. Click OK.
