Adding an OPC server

  1. Select Configuration > OPC > OPC Clients. The OPC Clients screen is displayed.
  2. Select a record and click OPC Servers. The OPC Servers screen is displayed at the bottom.
  3. Click Add. The Add window is displayed.
  4. Specify this information:
    OPC Client
    The OPC Client used to connect with the OPC server.
    Server
    The name of the server. This name is used when configuring OPC groups and OPC items.
    Active
    If this check box is selected, the application performs read or write operations on the OPC server.
    UA Endpoint
    The UA endpoint specifying the protocol and address of the OPC server. For example, opc.tcp://hostname:port.
    Disable Security
    If this check box is selected, the application disables the UA security.
    Use Basic Authentication
    If this check box is selected, the application enables username or password authentication for the OPC server.
    Are matching UA certificate domains required?
    If this check box is selected, UA certificates are required to have matching domains.
  5. Click OK.
