Tool Types
Tool Types define the properties and characteristics shared by a collection of tools, often those used in a specific manufacturing process. A tool can only belong to a single tool type.
To view and configure tool types, navigate to > > .
You can use these options on the Tool Types screen:
- Add: Allows you to create a new tool type.
- Edit: Allows you to modify the existing tool types.
- Delete: Allows you to delete the existing tool types.
- Retire: Allows you to retire the existing tool types. You cannot use retired tool types in production.
- Tools: Allows you to view and configure tools within the tool types.
- Change Reasons: Allows you to view and configure tool change reasons for the tool types.
- Reasons: Allows you to view and configure cavity state reasons for the tool types.
