Configuring transitions
You can draw transitions between elements by clicking and dragging on the dots from the first element to the second element. These are drawn in the direction that is expected for the flow.
Transitions can be changed to Split or Merge by drawing further lines between the element and transition node.
- : The transition has two or more OUT actions
- : The transition has two or more IN actions.
Configuration for the Transition can be done on the bottom-right of the screen once the Transition node is selected. Selecting the icon on the right-side of the Logical Test field displays a window for configuring the Transition Logic. The logic can also be specified manually in the field on the Layout screen. The window includes the following options:
- Action / Phase / Operation: Provides a list of Actions / Phases / Operations included in the Phase / Operation Template / Routing to select from. Used if an element parameter value is required for the Logical Test.
- Add Parameter: Provides a list of Parameters, at the current workflow level if no entity is selected or at the entity level for the selected entity. This is used if a parameter value is required for the Logical test.
- Add Function: Provides a list of Functions that can be used in a Logical test.
- Logical Operators (AND, OR, NOT, >…): options for adding the available logical operators to the Logical Test.
- Logical Test Text Box: Displays the Logical Test that has been populated so far. This can be used to manually enter or edit the test.
You can use the icon on the bottom-right of the flow-chart to delete Transitions that are not needed. This option displays when the Transition is selected in the flow-chart.
You can use the option at the bottom-right of the screen once Transitions are configured to save the data.
