Adding an inventory state
- Select . The Inventory States screen is displayed.
- Click Add. The Add window is displayed.

The name of the inventory state.

The description of the inventory state.

Applies To
-
The system state associated with the inventory state. These system states are used to determine the meaning and behaviour of the user defined inventory states. Possible values:
- Approved: The inventory pack is marked as approved after evaluation, and is ready for consumption or shipping.
- Available: The inventory pack is explicitly marked as ready for consumption or shipment.
- Consumed: The inventory pack is completely used in another process without being used in the inventory pack.
- Created: The inventory pack is created on a machine during production run.
- In Progress: The inventory pack is created, however, not completed.
- In Use: The inventory pack is loaded into a machine, being consumed in a production run.
- Isolated: The inventory pack is blocked from use due to quality concern and requires investigation.
- Merged: The inventory pack is combined with another inventory pack.
- Packed: The inventory pack has been placed within a parent inventory pack for transport and, therefore, cannot be transacted upon directly during this time.
- Received: The inventory pack is delivered to the factory from a supplier.
- Reclassified: The inventory pack undergoes a reclassification process, resulting in a transition from one material to another. Consequently, the original inventory pack is replaced by a new version.
- Recovered: The inventory pack has undergone a process allowing extraction, creating a separate inventory pack. The original pack no longer exists.
- Rework: The inventory pack requires rework before being ready for use.
- Reworked: The inventory pack has been updated due to a quality issue.
- Scrapped: The inventory pack is destroyed or recycled due to a quality or production issue and no longer exists.
- Sorted: The inventory pack has been sorted into separate packs for good and faulty parts.
- Split: The inventory pack has been divided into smaller packs and no longer exists.
- Unpacked: The inventory pack is split and the child inventory packs are detached from the parent inventory pack. The parent pack does not exist and is marked as unpacked.
- Waiting for Sort: The inventory pack is set aside is yet to be separated into good and bad parts.
- Waiting to be Scrapped: The inventory pack is isolated and yet to be scrapped.
- Written Off: The inventory pack is removed from the records, due to a stock take or to correct an error made during the initial creation.

Contributes To

The method inventory packs with the status are reported for production performance reporting. Possible values:
- None: The inventory packs do not count good or bad quality production figures.
- Production Figures: The inventory packs count good quality production figures.
- HFI Figures: The inventory packs count poor quality production figures.

If this check box is selected, the state is managed by an inventory state workflow.

Default

If this check box is selected, the state is set as the default for the associated system state. If another state has a default designation, that status is removed from the state and assigned to the new state.

If this check box is selected, inventory packs in the state can be consumed.

If this check box is selected, inventory packs in the state are marked as physically existing.

Traceable

If this check box is selected, the inventory in the state is traceable.

Termination

If this check box is selected, the state is considered as a final state for inventory packs.
