Tag Types

Tag Types are used to define an additional data field that can be recorded as part of an inspection. These fields allow users to capture structured, context-specific information beyond standard inspection variable and attributes, enhancing the granularity and usefulness of inspection records.

To view and configure tag types, navigate to Configuration > Quality > Tag Types.

You can use these options on the Tag Types screen:

• Add: Allows you to create a new tag type.
• Edit: Allows you to modify the existing tag types.
• Retire: Allows you to retire the existing tag types. You cannot use retired tag types in production.
• Tag Profiles: Allows you to view the tag profiles that contain the tag types.
