Containers

Containers are used to hold inventory and represent physical items, such as trolleys or boxes. Each container serves as a unit for organizing and managing materials in the system. Containers are uniquely identifiable which means no two containers have the same identifier or name. Containers play a crucial role in tracking, storing, and transporting items throughout various operational processes, ensuring accurate inventory control and efficient logistics.

To view and configure containers, navigate to Configuration > Assets > Containers.

You can use these options on the Containers screen:

• Add: Allows you to create a new container.
• Edit: Allows you to modify the existing containers.
• Retire: Allows you to retire the existing containers. You cannot load or unload inventory packs from retired containers.
