Machines

Machines are pieces of equipment in the factory that performs one or more production operations. Machines have multiple properties that are important to configure correctly. If a production line has only one machine assigned, the machine is considered as a stand-alone machine. This machine carries out all necessary operations to process the production order.

To view and configure machines, navigate to Configuration > Assets > Machines.

You can use these options on the Machines screen:

  • Add: Allows you to create a new machine.
  • Add Multi: Allows you to create multiple new machines.
  • Edit: Allows you to modify the existing machines.
  • Delete: Allows you to delete the existing machines.
  • Retire: Allows you to retire the existing machines. You cannot record data against retired machines. Retired machines can be excluded from reports unless included in the report’s filter options.
  • Machine Groups: Allows you to view the machine groups to which machines are assigned.
  • Printer: Allows you to view and configure printers linked to machines.
  • Shift Pattern: Allows you to assign or change shift patterns assigned to machines.
  • Location: Allows you to configure the locations linked to machines.
  • Inventory Positions: Allows you to configure inventory positions on the machines.
