Actions
Workflow actions are a set of transactions that you can use with a workflow to perform several activities to control how a workflow functions.
Here are some examples of actions you can use:
- Form-based: Actions that require data or a confirmed activity in the dashboard, including text, scanned serial numbers, or performing an inspection.
- Form-less: Actions that require no user interaction, for example, performing a calculation or reading / writing values from an OPC tag.
- Form-optional: Actions that can be used either with or without user interaction. These actions are designed so that if a workflow requires all inputs be available before the action is performed, then they are executed automatically.
Although most Workflow APIs are system and relate to Infor MES transactions, new ones can be configured to add new functionality to workflows.
