Maintenance reasons and categories

MES supports the optional definition of maintenance reasons and categories to help classify requests and procedures for reporting and planning purposes.

Request classification
When a maintenance request is scheduled, the maintenance planner can optionally specify a reason. Reasons help describe why a request was made and can be filtered using associated categories.
Procedure classification
Maintenance procedures can also be classified by reason and category. These classifications allow better grouping and analysis of scheduled maintenance activities.
Reporting
Maintenance reasons and categories provide a structured approach for generating reports that analyze the distribution and frequency of maintenance activities across different types and motivations.
