Maintenance reasons and categories
MES supports the optional definition of maintenance reasons and categories to help classify requests and procedures for reporting and planning purposes.
- Request classification
- When a maintenance request is scheduled, the maintenance planner can optionally specify a reason. Reasons help describe why a request was made and can be filtered using associated categories.
- Procedure classification
- Maintenance procedures can also be classified by reason and category. These classifications allow better grouping and analysis of scheduled maintenance activities.
- Reporting
- Maintenance reasons and categories provide a structured approach for generating reports that analyze the distribution and frequency of maintenance activities across different types and motivations.
