Typical process flow
This process flow illustrates how replenishment is typically managed in MES:
- A replenishment order is created, either manually or automatically, with one or more items that define the material and quantity to be moved.
- The system may determine a suitable source location for each item if one is not specified.
- An operator views the list of required picks and selects inventory packs to fulfill the replenishment items.
- The selected inventory is loaded onto a transport unit.
- A replenishment delivery is created and linked to the order and items being fulfilled.
- The delivery is marked as shipped, and inventory is removed from the source and assigned to the destination.
