Typical process flow

This process flow illustrates how replenishment is typically managed in MES:

  1. A replenishment order is created, either manually or automatically, with one or more items that define the material and quantity to be moved.
  2. The system may determine a suitable source location for each item if one is not specified.
  3. An operator views the list of required picks and selects inventory packs to fulfill the replenishment items.
  4. The selected inventory is loaded onto a transport unit.
  5. A replenishment delivery is created and linked to the order and items being fulfilled.
  6. The delivery is marked as shipped, and inventory is removed from the source and assigned to the destination.
