Cost centers

Cost centers are used to track and report energy consumption by department, location, or function. Meters can be linked to cost centers to enable more detailed reporting and financial analysis.

Each meter can be optionally assigned to a cost center. This association allows energy usage data to be grouped and reported by cost center in MES or exported to ERP systems.

Cost centers can be arranged in a hierarchy to reflect organizational structure, such as departments under a division or region.

  • Analyzing energy usage by operational unit
  • Assigning accountability for energy consumption
  • Feeding energy data into cost accounting systems
