Asset state changes

MES can automatically or manually update an asset's state based on specific events. This enables the system to reflect real-world asset usage and conditions without requiring constant manual updates.

Here are some examples of automatic state changes:

Available
When an inspection is completed without specification violations, maintenance is finished, the asset is cleaned, or disassembled from a toolpack
In use
When a tool is loaded into a machine
Requires inspection
When MES detects that the asset needs inspection
End of life
When the number of pieces produced by the asset exceeds its end-of-life threshold
Requires maintenance
When outstanding maintenance work exists for the asset
In toolpack
When a tool is assembled into a toolpack

These transitions help automate maintenance planning and improve responsiveness to asset conditions.
