FIFO strategy

The FIFO strategy for each material determines whether inventory should be consumed in FIFO sequence or not.

Here are the options in Infor MES:

• Warn: If the inventory scanned is not the correct one in the FIFO sequence, display a warning on the form but allow the transaction to continue.
• Warn and Acknowledge: If the inventory scanned is not the correct one in the FIFO sequence, display a warning on the form that the user must acknowledge before the transaction can continue.
• Error: If the inventory scanned is not the correct one in the FIFO sequence, it is not possible for the transaction to continue.
• [None]: FIFO is not used.
