Validation
Whenever consumption occurs, MES performs a series of validations.

Is the material in the BoM? |
If a bill of materials is defined, then the material must be specified in the bill of materials (or defined as an alternative material). |

Inventory State |
The inventory being consumed must be in a state that is defined as being "Consumable" |
