Rework assessment

To support rework, Infor MES enables you to designate a line as a place where rework decisions can be taken, and further enables the operator to define the next operation to realize the rework, using the Is Rework Assessment parameter.

Whether the rework operation transforms the material using the Production Step Build Record parameter, is dependent on these factors:

• If the process does transform the material, then the rework is assessed when creating the inventory
• If the process does not transform the material, then the rework is assessed at consumption because the creation transaction is not required
