Inventory creation date mode
When you create inventory, there are two modes:
- Start and complete pack
- Inventory is created in two stages, where you explicitly 'start' the inventory and provide some key information. Later, you 'complete' the inventory and record the remaining information. This is required in processes where materials are being consumed with specific quantities into the pack being created. For example, batch and assembly.
- Create pack
- Inventory is created when the inventory is complete, where all information is provided in a single transaction. The date the inventory pack started is assumed to be the date the last pack was created (or the job start if this is the first inventory created for the job). This is typically used in in discrete processes, where consumption is recorded asynchronously.
