BOM under consumption warning

For a specific material, you can warn the user that the quantity of material consumed is lower than expected based on the quantity of materials created.

The quantities consumed can either be assessed when inventory is created, or when the job ends.

Infor MES uses these warnings:

Do not check under consumption for this materials.

Inventory creation

Validate the quantity of material consumed whenever new inventory is created. If the consumption quantity is lower than required the user is warned, but the creation is still allowed to proceed.

Job end

Validate the quantity of material consumed when the job is ended. If the consumption quantity is lower than required the user is warned, but the creation is still allowed to proceed.

The setting is defined on the material being consumed. This means there could be multiple materials in the BOM, each with a different under consumption warning mode. This allows validation of some of the materials, but not others.
