Under consumption mode

MES enables you to enforce consumption before allowing inventory to be created, or jobs to be completed.

These options are available:

{None}

Do not enforce consumption.

Inventory creation

Allow inventory to be created only if, at the point of inventory creation, enough of each BOM item has been consumed to account for the quantity being created.

Job end

Allow the job to be completed only if, at the point of completion, enough of each BOM item has been consumed to account for the job quantity created.
