Stock

The inventory in a plant is referred to as stock, typically made up of raw materials, semi-finished goods, and finished goods.

Here are some examples:

  • Raw materials: Purchased from suppliers and located in a warehouse or at a line side location
  • Semi-finished goods: Created in the factory and stored temporarily before being consumed into another process
  • Finished goods: Created in the factory and ready to be shipped

All stock in the factory has a financial value, driven by master data on the material.

Only inventory states which are considered to be in stock states are included in the stock reports.
