Actions
Workflow actions are a set of transactions that you can use with a workflow to
perform several activities to control how a workflow functions.
Here are some examples of actions you can use:
- Form-based: Actions that require data or a confirmed activity in the dashboard, including text, scanned serial numbers, or performing an inspection.
- Form-less: Actions that require no user interaction, for example, performing a calculation or reading / writing values from an OPC tag.
- Form-optional: Actions that can be used either with or without user interaction. These actions are designed so that if a workflow requires all inputs be available before the action is performed, then they are executed automatically.
Although most Workflow APIs are a system and relate to Infor MES transactions, new ones can be configured to add new functionality to workflows.
