Maintenance

The maintenance functionality of Infor MES automatically assesses maintenance procedures and proposes tentative maintenance plans.

These procedures define which asset the procedure is relevant to, the steps that an engineer must perform, the materials required to perform the procedure, and the labor hours required to complete the work.

Procedures in the maintenance plan are scheduled based on these criteria:

  • By period, for example, a monthly check
  • Per count, for example, 100,000 cycles or 5,000 pieces
  • By number of events, for example, checks after detected triggers. These can include:
    • Critical defect found
    • Process parameter has exceeded its limits, for example, motor current, temperature, and so on

The tentative maintenance plan is visible on the planning dashboard, together with maintenance requests raised by production operators or maintenance engineers.

The maintenance planning dashboard can be used to assess the maintenance work to schedule based on the tentative schedule, the maintenance requests, stock availability and upcoming deliveries, or the loading of the team.

These are the key benefits of the maintenance capability in Infor MES:

  • Create and maintain maintenance procedures by managing templates
  • Plan and schedule maintenance work
  • Predictive and condition-based maintenance
  • Define maintenance and shutdown calendars
  • Manage the loading and time of maintenance resources
  • Manage the storeroom, including spare parts inventory, stock, and deliveries
  • Allocate materials to maintenance work
  • Auto-generate maintenance work based on time, counts, and events
  • Perform maintenance work with step-by-step images, guides, and documents
  • Raise maintenance requests for the maintenance planner
  • Enable maintenance work to be performed from mobile devices
  • Upload photos and videos from mobile devices to send to the planner
  • Enable operators to view planned maintenance work and existing maintenance requests
  • Enable operators to complete autonomous maintenance work such as cleaning, lubrication, and safety checks
  • Perform quality checks on assets, including calibration tests
  • Maintenance performance dashboard for detailed insights, exception handling, and conformance
  • Manage the maintenance budget for the period and breakdown into materials, labor, and external suppliers
