GS1 barcode support for Package, Shipment, and Printing functions.

Background:

Input fields in Package, Shipment, and Printing functions should have the capability to read GS1 barcodes.

Solution:

Added GS1 barcode support in the following modules:

  • Package Information (PKINFO)

  • Package Connections (PKLINK)

  • Package in Package (PKINPK)

  • Package Transfer (PKTRNF)

  • Package Repack (PKREPK)

  • Package Movement (PKMV)

  • Shipment Package (SHPKG)

  • Stage by Package (STGPKG)

  • Putaway by Package (PUPK)

  • Load Package (PKLD)

  • Shipment Admin (SHAD)

  • Package Enquiry (PAENQ)

  • Pending Putaway screen

  • Print Label (PRINTLBL)

  • Print Delivery Documents (PDD)

  • Printer Settings (PRST)

Note: The Package and SSCC field types now support scanning of any type of package. For example, the package could be a shipment package, a delivery package, an in-house package or a from/to package. If the From and To package fields are in one screen, parsing of decoded values will depend on the position of the cursor.
