Rental delivery stop
Use this document to understand why delivery stops when there is an open related order, such as a work order or a customer order, connected to an agreement line that has not been closed after the rental agreement is activated.
Before you start
Verify these settings before you start:
- To get a delivery stop because of a work order, ensure that an additional charge for a pre-delivery work is connected to the agreement line in 'Rental Agreement. Connect Additional Charge' (STS103).
- To get a delivery stop because of a customer order, ensure that there is a customer order for internal movement connected to the agreement line.
Note: This is only valid for rental agreement lines created through EQM.
- Activate the rental agreement.
Function of the rental delivery stop
The rental delivery stop applies to a pre-delivery work order on (STS103/E) with these conditions:
- If the pre-delivery work order value for all additional charges on an agreement line in (STS103) is 0, the rental delivery stop value in 'Rental Agreement. Stop' (STS128) is also 0. In this case, releasing the picking list is not blocked, nor does it require the deletion, deferring, or closing of any work requests or work orders connected to the additional charge.
- If any additional charge in (STS103) has a pre-delivery work order value of 1, the rental delivery stop value in (STS128) is set to 1, and the picking list is blocked.
- If there is a CO for internal movement connected to the agreement line and it is reported in 'Customer Order. Open Toolbox' (OIS300), the rental delivery stop value in (STS128) is 0. In this case, releasing the picking list is not blocked.
- If there is a CO for internal movement connected to the agreement line and it is not yet reported in 'Customer Order. Open Toolbox' (OIS300), the rental delivery stop value in (STS128) is 2. Releasing the picking list is blocked.
Rental agreement stop code
In (STS128), all active agreement lines are displayed under these conditions and behaviors:
- When the pre-delivery work order in (STS103) is set to 1, the 'Rental delivery stop' field in (STS128) is also set to 1. The delivery number for this agreement line receives a delivery stop code of R01.
- When the CO for internal movement is not yet reported, the 'Rental delivery stop' field in (STS128) is set to 2. The delivery number for this agreement line receives a delivery stop code of R01.
- Because an agreement can include multiple lines, records in (STS128) are shown per agreement line.
- You must release a stopped rental agreement line on (STS128/E) before you can print a picking list. To release an agreement line, set the 'Agreement stop' field to 0 or 9 in (STS128/E).
- If several agreement lines share the same delivery number, only one line needs an agreement stop code to block the delivery.
The 'Rental delivery stop' field is updated from 1 to 0 if any of these actions are taken:
- Deleting a work request connected to the additional charge.
- Deleting a work order connected to the additional charge.
- Deferring a work order connected to the additional charge.
- Closing a work order connected to the additional charge.
The 'Rental delivery stop' field is updated from 2 to 0 if the CO for internal movement is reported in (OIS300).
Setting 'Rental delivery stop' to 9-'Manual release order' does not require any of these actions. You can update it manually in (STS128).
Delivery stop code
The 'Rental delivery stop' field is checked during the release for picking in (STS128). These rules apply:
- When 'Rental delivery stop' is set to 1 or 2, the release for picking is blocked. In this case, the delivery status in 'Delivery. Open Toolbox' (MWS410) shows 03, and the delivery stop code is R01. Additionally, the status of 'Rental Logistics Toolbox. Open' (STS140) shows 26-'Open related order exists' when the picking list is blocked.
- To unblock picking, you must update 'Rental delivery stop' field in (STS128) to 0 or 9.
