Quick entry of retrospective MCO
This document explains how you can create a maintenance customer order in 'Maint CO. Quick Entry' (COS130) from a standalone work order. The goal is to efficiently generate a maintenance customer order and link it to the existing work order to streamline billing and record-keeping.
Outcome
- You create a maintenance customer order and a corresponding order line with a reference to the work order.
- Reported transactions against the work order are copied to the preliminary invoice specification.
- Any additional transactions are also added to the preliminary invoice specification.
Before you start
Before proceeding, ensure that the prerequisite settings are in place. Refer to these documents and apply the recommended configurations:
- A valid maintenance agreement must be created in 'Maint Agrmnt. Open' (COS410).
- The work order status must be 85 or lower.
Follow these steps
- In 'Work Order. Open' (MOS100), select the related option 92='Create MCO'. The (COS130) screen appears.
- If necessary, update the customer or agreement details. You can also adjust the facility if required.
- Modify the service price method if needed.
- Edit any other fields that are available for modification.
- Confirm the entry to create the MCO.
