Updating Work Request Status
This document explains how you update the status of a work request to indicate where it is in the planning process.
This process is usually performed by a maintenance planner or supervisor who decides whether a work request can be carried out with the resources that are available.
Outcome
The work request or operation receives a new status. The status indicates whether it is possible to proceed with the work (i.e. whether the work request or operation should be released to become a work order, or whether it needs to be replanned).
Information about the work request status is stored in these files:
- Work request header status (MWOPLP)
- Work request line status (MMPOPE)
Before you start
The work request must exist in 'Work Request. Open' (MOS170).
