Actions

This table shows the control buttons and their functions available in the Actions tab of the IPW new UI:

Action Function
Refresh This is used to retrieve information from M3 BE.
Settings This is used to configure the settings of the application.
Note: Press F13 on your keyboard to open Settings.
Retrieve Favorite

This is used to retrieve personal favorite settings, shared favorite settings, or predefined favorite settings. You can filter shared favorites by owner to give better overview and quickly identify the relevant shared favorite.

Note: The name of selected favorite setting is displayed right after the Retrieve Favorite button.
User Settings In User Settings, specify this information:
Write details to log file
Select the check box to analyze the IPW data or to document IPW issues. You can clear the check box to improve performance.
Display grid tooltip
Select the check box to get the detailed tooltip information for cells in the grid.
Favorite owner display
Select from the list to display the owner ID or the owner name. The name of the selected favorite setting is displayed next to the Retrieve Favorite button.
Excel decimal point
Select the Excel separator from Windows default, period, or comma.
Administrator Settings You must have the CPW role, CPWADMIN, defined in (MNS410) to access this tool.

There are three IPW roles defined in (MNS405) and (MNS410):

  • CPWADMIN: This enables access to the Administrator Settings.
  • CPWPLANNER: This enables decision in CPW.
  • CPWVIEWER: This enables users to view data in CPW, but not take decision in CPW.

User division restriction

These are the options in user division restriction:
  • No restriction
  • No decision
  • Full restriction

The user restriction to divisions are defined in MNS151 to control if you can access data from that division.

Modification restrictions for shared favorites

  • No restriction: All users can modify all shared favorites.
  • No restriction with warning: Users receive a warning when attempting to modify shared favorites they do not own. However, all users can still modify shared favorites.
  • Restrict to owner and administrator: You can modify shared favorites that you own. Administrators must be able to modify any shared favorites.
Delete User Data

You must have the CPW role, CPWADMIN, defined in (MNS410) to access this tool.

Administrators can perform housekeeping tasks for non-active users. For example, if users leave the company or change positions, the administrator can remove unused favorites owned by the user.
