Adjust remittance for direct debiting or factoring in (ARS410)

You can adjust a remittance proposal before sending it to the bank for direct debiting or a factoring company for factoring using the function 'Remit Direct Debit and Factoring. Open' (ARS410).

Outcome

After the specified activities are completed, your proposal is validated, and any necessary adjustments are made. Then, you can proceed with the confirmation as stated in Create remittance for direct debiting or factoring in (ARS410).

Before you start

See the starting conditions in Create remittance for direct debiting or factoring in (ARS410).

You can also define if the 'Remit Direct Debit and Factr. Details' (ARS411) or 'Remit Direct Debit and Factr. Invoice' (ARS412) is called when you select option 2-'Change' on (ARS410/B). You can do this by setting the panel sequence on (ARS410/P) to 1 or 2.

Adjusting a remittance proposal

Follow these steps to adjust a remittance proposal in (ARS410):

  1. Adjust a bank remittance proposal.
  2. Proposals on (ARS410/B) in proposal status 20-'New' and proposal progress 0-'The proposal can be processed' are open for adjustment through option 2-'Change'.
  3. For factoring, you can delete a payment document from (ARS411) or one or several invoices from (ARS412).
  4. For direct debiting, these are the possible adjustments in addition to deleting records:
    • On (ARS411/E), you can adjust the payment date or the purpose code. Based on the document break level, the adjustments could result in the merging of two documents.

See Create remittance for direct debiting or factoring in (ARS410).

    • On (ARS411/B), you can manually exclude or include a payment document. A status code indicates the status of the payment document.
    • On (ARS412/B), you have the same option of excluding or including invoices as for a payment document on (ARS411/B). A status code indicates the status of the invoice.
    • On (ARS412/B), you can add invoices to a proposal using Option 1-'Create'. This applies to invoices with the same currency and payment method as the proposal.
    • On (ARS412/E), you can make a partial payment by changing the payment amount, or you can change the cash discount amount, given that a cash discount term is attached to the invoice.

Status codes in (ARS411) and (ARS412)

These status codes in (ARS411) and (ARS412) help track the progress and condition of payment documents and invoices:
  • 1-Included: The document or invoice is included.
  • 2-Excluded: The document or invoice is not included in the final remittance.
  • 5-Zero/negative amount: The document or invoice is excluded automatically because credit note surveillance is active in (CRS078), and the total amount of the document is zero or negative. It is not included in the final remittance.
  • 8-Remitted : The document or invoice is remitted.
  • 9-Reconciled: The document or invoice has been reconciled in (ARS410) or in 'Bank Statement. Open' (ABS100) when automatic allocation is done using scenario type 6='Accounts Receivable (AR) based on bank remittance for payments by direct debiting'.

Managing payment information

Follow these steps to manage the payment information in (ARS411):

  1. Add or adjust payment information.
  2. Use related option 12-'Payment information' on (ARS411/B) to open 'Remit Direct Debit and Factr. Pmt Info' (ARS413). The listing of Payment, EndToEndID, and InstructID information depends on whether your payment method in 'AR Payment Method. Open' (CRS076) is defined to use this functionality with user-defined information in 'Manage Fields in MI Strings. Open' (CRS485).
  3. To add, delete, or modify the payment information, adjust the setup in (CRS076) or (CRS485), and then use function F14='Re-create payment information' on (ARS413/B). Your changes are applied to the existing proposal.
Note: Updates to the proposal are not automatically reflected in the payment information. The payment information is updated when it is re-created, a preliminary remittance is done, or the proposal is confirmed.
