Archiving Workbench
Overview
These are the functionalities of the Experience Designer Archiving Workbench application:
- Show available archive programs and when they were last run.
- Shows disk space usage of database tables targeted by archiving the archiving programs.
- Show archive run logs from previous archive runs.
- Shows which records were excluded from the latest archive run.
- Shows which records are currently in the archive schema, and the option to move those to Data Lake.
- Settings for the archive programs.
You can use the application as is, but we highly recommend that you copy the application to a new version because updates are deployed to these types of applications regularly. If the application is copied, then you can continuously modify the application to meet the customer's requirements. You can remove or replace the applications that we deliver.
You can read more about the archiving process and the use of the Archiving Workbench application in the Transaction Archiving documentation.
Application Authorization
You must be authorized to access and run the Experience Designer application to the M3 Business Engine functions and API transactions that are used by the application. The Archiving Workbench uses the API AMS100MI - Archiving Toolbox interface.
